Hazrat Shah Mohammad Sajjad (rahmatullahi alaihe)

Hazrat Shah Mohammad Sajjad (rahmatullahi alaihe) is known as Kutubul Aulia.

Hazrat Shah Mohammad Sajjad (rahmatullahi alaihe) performed hajj five times. At age forty, he renounced the world and performed his first hajj. Afterwards, he spent two years in Madinah al-Munawara. Hazrat Shah Mohammad Sajjad (rahmatullahi alaihe) then came to Ajmeer, India at the instructions of the Beloved Prophet (sallallahu alaihe wa sallam). He went to Danapur, India after his long stay in Ajmeer.

After three years, Hazrat Shah Mohammad Sajjad (rahmatullahi alaihe) performed hajj again and stayed in Madinah al-Munawara for a long time. During this time, it was his practice to go into Murakabah (deep meditation) all night at the Haram Shareef in Madinah al-Munawara.

One night, one Syed Shahib invited Hazrat Shah Mohammad Sajjad (rahmatullahi alaihe) to a dish of meat. On this particular night, Hazrat Shah Mohammad Sajjad (rahmatullahi alaihe) could not come to the Rouza Shareef of the Beloved Prophet (sallallahu alaihe wa sallam).

On this very night, Hazrat Shah Mohammad Sajjad (rahmatullahi alaihe) was blessed with the auspicious vision of the Beloved Prophet of Allah (sallallahu alaihe wa sallam) in a dream. In the dream, the Beloved Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alaihe wa sallam) asked: “Oh my son! Have you come to Madinah Shareef to eat meat or have you come here for me?”

Upon awakening, Hazrat Shah Mohammad Sajjad (rahmatullahi alaihe) promised never to eat meat again. He did not take meat until the last day of his life.
