Dream of Hazrat Shah Waliullah Dehlavi (rahmatullahi alaihe)

Hazrat Shah Waliullah Dehlavi (rahmatullahi alaihe) narrates in his book “Herje Sameen” that on one night he did not have anything to eat. During this time, one of his friends and a well-wisher approached him with a bowl of milk.

Subsequently, Hazrat Shah Waliullah Dehlavi (rahmatullahi alaihe) was blessed with the vision of the Beloved Prophet (sallallahu alaihe wa sallam) in a dream. In the dream, the Beloved Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alaihe wa sallam) stated: “I sent the bowl of milk.” In other words, the friend of Hazrat Shah Waliullah Dehlavi (rahmatullahi alaihe) was divinely inspired to take the bowl of milk to Hazrat Shah Waliullah Dehlavi (rahmatullahi alaihe).

Hazrat Shah Waliullah Dehlavi (rahmatullahi alaihe) became concerned for the welfare of his children during the time of his death. On one auspicious night, Hazrat Shah Waliullah Dehlavi (rahmatullahi alaihe) was blessed with the vision of the Beloved Prophet (sallallahu alaihe wa sallam) in a dream. In the dream, the Beloved Prophet of Allah (sallallahu alaihe wa sallam) stated: “Why are you concerned? I consider your children as my children.” After this dream, Hazrat Shah Waliullah Dehlavi (rahmatullahi alaihe) became completely free of any concerns for his children.

Hazrat Shah Waliullah Dehlavi (rahmatullahi alaihe) had four children, all of whom went on to become famous Islamic scholars of their time. His children were Shah Abdul Aziz (rahmatullahi alaihe), Shah Rafiuddin (rahmatullahi alaihe), Shah Abdul Qadir (rahmatullahi alaihe), and Shah Abdul Gani (rahmatullahi alaihe).
